Podiatry
Developed from it’s origin in Chiropody, the profession of Podiatry has become a speciality focusing on the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the foot and lower limbs. Podiatrists may also be involved in the treatment of injuries affecting the lower back, hip, knee and shin, due to the foots unique interaction with the lower limb.
Our Service
Offering an Island wide domicillary service, R&R Podiatry provides the latest treatment technologies and approaches in the comfort of your own home. Our routine service includes the treatment of skin and nail conditions. Including nail care, ingrowing toe nails, corns, callus, verucaes and fungal infections. We also offer specialist services such as biomechanics, foot orthotics (insoles), taping techniques, acupuncture and footware advice.
Biomechanics
Podiatric biomechanics is the study of forces acting on the body and the effects produced. People who suffer with foot, ankle, knee, hip and lower back conditions may benefit from a biomechanical assessment which can identify potential solutions to alleviate discomfort. By analysing the way that you stand, walk and run (gait analysis), a biomechanical assessment will evaluate whether or not there are any biomechanical factors contributing to your concern.
